Not exactly what I thought this would be.
After reading a series of intense, heart-breaking stories wound in reality, I wanted to read a fantasy. And His Dark Materials' reputation was second only to the likes of LOTR and GOT. It had won multiple academic prizes, it is both a TV series and a big-budgeted movie. Well, catch my neck and call me stupid, this was one of those very okayish book.
