This book was written as several poems that come together to form the entire story. It was so sad. The poems were I think easier to handle than perhaps an entire book of this subject would have been. I think it's really important to know about these things that are happening to others. This gives a window into the world, but is good for people like me who are very sensitive to these topics. I cried a ton. I would not let a middle grade child read this, but probably starting at 14 or 15 yrs. old. ...more
