Fat Charlie's father died. Then he found out that he actually has a brother. And that both his brother and father are more than what they seem. When he met his brother though, his life went to the dogs and when he tried to get his life back, things didn't go as planned. Along this journey, he found the truth about himself.

Fat Charlie Nancy has always been ashamed of his dad. When his dad dies Charlie discovers his dad was the god Anansi and that he has a brother, Spider, he doesn't remember. Charlie invites Spider for a visit and Spider causes trouble with Charlie's job and his fiancé Rosie. The book starts a bit slow and Charlie is rather annoying at the beginning of the book. Charlie grows and improves his character and the story definitely got more interesting as it went along.
