What Members Thought

It's been a few years in between books 1 and 2 (I really need to stop doing that) and Mac is still trying to avenge her sisters death and uncovering more about herself in the process. Barons is still Barons....still intense and mysterious. I feel that the more Mac thinks she knows or learns in just adds another layer to everything she thinks, and that maybe she doesn't know as much as she thought. I can not wait to go on to book 3.

What can I say besides I love this series. I love Mac and Jericho. I love getting to see her go through her journey from southern girl with no cares, to kickass heroine. The world-building and character-building in this series is top notch.

So I'm apparently the only one who thought the first one was sexist and that the love interest was an ass. Then again, I'm the only one who came to that conclusion about Mercy Thompson after the second book. (Seriously, the men are jerks and she knows better but let's just humor him. She continually ends up trying to calm the males down by being meek and submissive around them. The reality is that in humoring them, the men get all the power and control.
