Magic. From a world laid out in the first book of this series, comes a dark plot and unforgettable characters. From our courageous heroine(s), to the creepy villains, and even the pitiful yet kind hearted 'Slomby', there is no character who is surplus to the telling of this tale, among magical cities and vibrant wilderness.

I'm not a fairy fan. But this might be my favorite of Laini's books that I have read so far. I could not find fault with the writing or the story. My only gripe, if it can be ...more
