Meghan is at the Winter Court nursing her broken heart when the scepter is stolen and she decides to go after it (with some help of course). This time around there is a lot more teenage angst to deal with.
What I enjoyed:
* Ironhorse
* Leanansidhe
* Grimalkin. He is playing his own game by his own rules, like most cats.
What could have been better:
* Love triangles suck, somehow they are even more angsty in YA novels.
* Meghan was a doormat for most of this book.

I totally enjoyed this book!
This is a lot like Laurell K. Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series without the sex! Mab, the Winter Queen of Faery and Oberon, the Summer King are feuding over Meghan who has allowed herself to be taken by Mab in order to stay close to her love, Prince Ash, Mab's son. However, Ash has turned on her and broken her heart and left her to fend for herself in the evil Winter court. With the death of Sage, Ash's brother, the tide really turns for Meghan and not in a good way. ...more

Struggled whether this was a 3.5 or 4 star book. I liked it and all my favorite characters were back. I just don't feel the heat between Meghan and Ash.
Likes:
* Grimalkin - awesome as expected
* Ash - a little colder than expected, but understandably
* Sage - had potential for being likeable
