[REREAD: Increased rating to 4.5 stars; difference was that I reread some of the great Marks-Leo exchanges from the previous Hathaway books beforehand so that I could fully enjoy their story again ... which had been one of my complaints before.

REREAD x2: Reread the entire series in order and it's true, the prior two books make this one so much more enjoyable, because there's such great Marks/Leo buildup in those books.]

This is a nice addition to the series. I didn't like it as much as the previous ones but it was still a nice read.

I liked Leo and Cat but their story is not as grabbing and alluring as the book about their siblings. I'm not really sure why since they are pretty likeable characters. I just didn't feel those good vibrations I had with the previous books.

Leo Hathaway and Catherine Marks

Leo and Catherine have been at odds from the beginning and that doesn't immediately change in this book. They argue about everything, but here you start to see that Leo is arguing for her wellbeing most of the time.

Besides these two going back and forth, there's the threat of the Hathaway's losing their home, due to a clause in the will since the house wasn't entailed. Plus, the ghosts of Catherine's past are coming back to haunt her.

This book was the funniest of the books so far. The two main characters have fought so much throughout the series but now they need each other in more ways than one. It was interesting to read about the back stories of these two.
