Read for the third [now fourth] time. What a great story! Daisy is so sweet and really lovable, and Matthew's adoration of her is so sigh-worthy. I love how opposite they are, but so perfect for each other. They're such a good pairing!

So sad to see this series end. I've become involved in these characters' lives and their romances. Lots of happily-ever-after writing, for sure, but written in a wonderfully humorous and enjoyable way. With each book in the Wallflower series, I thought...well, this is my favorite character so what will Kleypas do next? But each book got better and better. Daisy and Matthew turned out to be an adorable couple, and the bit of mystery involving Matthew kept my interest piqued until it was revealed

Daisy Bowman & Matthew Swift

The fourth in a historical romance series about the "Wallflowers", this one highlights the romance of Daisy Bowman and Matthew Swift. The man whom her father wants to marry for business reasons is the man that she doesn't want to get to know better until she meets him again. Overall, a good romance and a good series, but they should be read in order as it is easier to understand the references. I read this one several years ago and although it made perfect sense then, the references would have m

After three unsuccessful London seasons, Daisy Bowman is given an ultimatum by her rather cruel and nasty father - find a husband or one with be found for you. Matthew Swift, her father's protege is the one selected. Daisy, of course, knows Matthew and hates him because he is just like her father - or so she thinks. Daisy isn't your typical London miss. She's outspoken and has ideas that get her in trouble with her callus father.

This was 3.5 stars for me. Better then the first in the series (because Annabelle's shallowness annoyed me), but not as good as the last 2. Lillian was very annoying in this book and overshadowed Daisy a bit. The interaction between the sisters wasn't as fun and didn't fit with the other novels - their relationship seemed different which I didn't like. Also, Daisy was confusing emotionally. I didn't feel her fall in love like I did with the previous heroines so it kind of fell flat at first and
