This was pedestrian, predictable and bordering on pathetic I'm afraid. I read the second book of this series first and, because I'm a bit OCD about reading series in order and completely, I had to go back to read the first. I have never read anything by J. Lynn, also under her real name Jennifer L. Armentrout, so this was my first time. I haven't got many expectations about this story and I have to admit that I generally prefer longer books with fully developed storyline. However, this one was slightly above my expectations.
