Not a big romance reader, so when I do read one, I prefer something with some humour. And Jayne Castle (Jayne Ann Krentz) always makes me laugh. This trilogy was completely enjoyable. The MCs have a sense of humour, albeit generally a weird one. They spar quite humourously. The female lead isn't incompetent and the male lead doesn't treat her as such. They are partners. I like Jayne Castle and her otherworldly tales...this one is not as strong as her later books in this world but I am glad I read this and look forward to reading more in this series.
