This is the only Quick book that is set in a much earlier period (more medieval than regency, if I have the terms right) and on the small island of Desire instead of London. It still follows her standard plot of a independent, intelligent woman being matched with an intelligent man whose family issues have led him to not believe in love. JAK's books are comforting to me as you know what to expect, but enjoy the ride.
