Deeper We Fall (Fall and Rise, #1) in Crazy Challenge Connection

I could NOT put this one down (just ask my kids, as I made them fend for themselves for dinner so I could continue on reading!!)

Except for Lexie's life altering accident, there is absolutely nothing that I didn't like about Deeper We Fall. It just goes to show that you don't get to choose who you fall in love with.

Lottie has so much emotion in this story. She feels guilty that she hadn't tried harder to ke I could NOT put this one down (just ask my kids, as I made them fend for themselves for dinner so I could continue on reading!!)

Lottie has so much emotion in this story. She feels guilty that she hadn't tried harder to keep Lexie from getting into the truck with Zach and Zan 2 years earlier. She feels guilty that she has had the past 2 years to grow up and now go away to college and experience things that Lexie never will. She feels anger and hatred toward the Parker brothers, as it was their drunk driving that caused the accident to change her best friend's life forever.

Zan Parker has spent time in a juvenile detention center as he was the one behind the wheel at the time of the accident and he has so much emotion as well. He feels guilty because of his part in the accident which forever changed Lexie, who happened to the be the best friend of the girl he had a major crush on.

Now Lottie and her twin brother Will are freshmen in college and guess who is also enrolled at the same college? You guessed it, the Parker brothers or as she prefers to call them `The Brothers of Doom.

Everytime Lottie turns around it seems, one of the brothers is there. Zach is dating her roommate Katie, Will's next door neighbor in the dorm is Zan. He's in the Student Union at mealtimes, and even in a class of Lottie's.

Faced with seeing Zan everywhere, she surprises herself because in addition to feeling hatred and anger towards him, she realizes that she is attracted to him. But will she be able to get past his part in the accident or will she be able to forgive him and have a chance of happiness with him?

I received a copy of Deeper We Fall in exchange for an honest review and if I'm being completely honest I have to say I absolutely loved this book. Once I started it, I could not put it down. I really liked Lottie but I LOVED Zan. He quickly became one of my favorite YA male characters!!! I am looking forward to reading Faster We Burn (which continues on with Zan's friend Stryker and his new love interest) and other works by Chelsea M. Cameron. ...more

I wanted to like this book so much more than I did. I think the problem is that it might have been a little to YA for me. I like my New Adult to be a bit more smexy!! The story was good as was the writing I just don't think I connected with the characters like I normally do. ...more
