so far I love this book. It is well written and very intense. There are so many characters and stories to follow that is doesn't get boring. It is somewhat long so I'm excited to have a good book for awhile.

I've had more time to read now that I've retired. Decided it was time to tackle some classics which I have never been a big fan of. It was more that I wanted TO HAVE READ this - I didn't expect to actually enjoy it! Big surprise - I couldn't put it down! Very timely - addresses women's rights and immigration - one of the best books I have ever read - big surprise - Tolstoy can write - who knew! Phew! That took me forever to finish but now that I have I feel a sense of accomplishment. I really liked it but I sometimes struggled with the Levin story line. I liked the bare bones part of it but I'm not as interested in philosophy which Levin was deeply rooted in, however I liked his character a lot. Anna also had moments where I loved her and moments where I was extremely exasperated with her. Towards the end I began to see Levin and Anna as similar beings that chose different paths. They
