This has got to be the most laid back UF paranormal tale I’ve read so far. As the first step to get into the Rowan Harbor world it’s nice to just walk along and enjoy, learn everything there was about this quirky world. Personally I felt Devon kinda been cheated on having his full story told though - there were gaps between pertinent details about his backstory, family history, the town, etc. not to mention his (weird) courting with Wade.

It’s a start though. I’m game to trudge on!!

3.5stars. Enjoyed the writing and the storyline, particularly the development of Devon’s unexpected powers. However marked down because I agree with a number of other reviewers, that his relationship with ‘his mate’ was a little underwhelming. Will still give the next one a try.
