i read this along side eclipse. the first half of the novella spends time developing bree into a fascinating, complicated character. we get hints of her troubled past, we learn that she gravitates towards books. stephenie meyer is so good at creating interesting characters, but i felt that she spent too much time explaining the vampire world. this makes sense because bree is a newborn vampire being purposely kept in the dark about much of the inner-workings of this dark underworld, but it does m

Good story that is well told. Ms. Meyers has gotten better at the craft of writing without losing any of her appeal as a storyteller.
Though only 178 pages long she tells a story that presents an engaging character that we've met before only peripherally and in a much less endearing light.
Given that and the enjoyable aspects of Midnight Sun it's clear that one of this author's strongest talents is to see her stories from a number of different and complementary points of view. If you enjoyed the ...more

This book was quite good, I got a look into Bree's life, she may have had a small role in Eclipse but I did always wonder what her life was like. I recommend it to Twilight fans and to people who haven't read Twilight.
