Re-reading, only a different edition than the first time, ever so long ago.
Finished it. I forgot how different from the movie it is, and I do believe it's better. Nick's stream-of-conscience style is never tiresome, and Norah is so relatable. It was strange having Caroline as only a peripheral character, as she's so prominent in the movie. And then the first chapter of Naomi and Ely's No-Kiss List sucked me in. I hope these two authors never stop collaborating. ...more

this book is perfectly-rendered, surprising, sexy and just all-around good. it's a good thing to read when you're about to take the plunge into something that is scary but ultimately worth it (new love, drastic life change, etc.)
i must warn you though, if yr a fellow new york expatriate, this book will make you hella homesick. ...more

Written in alternating voices - David Levithan- Nick and Rachel Cohn - Norah. The reader sees the same incidents from both characters perspectives. It's a wild journey into after hours New York City night life and teen emotions - Enjoy!

There was wayyy more profanity than I like - but I couldn't help but getting absorbed and then swallowed whole by this book. The language and the words used to describe the situations not only felt like you were there with them, but that you could feel the thunderous vibrations of the music pounding in your chest, of the soaking wet chill of damp clothing.
Without all of the cussing this would have been one of my favorite books ever. ...more

One of the biggest YA titles of 2006. I liked it a lot. Controversial use of the "F" word (as in largest number of times per book). Great collaboration between these 2 excellent authors.
