OH, my. Every Levithan book I've read is an amazing gift of words. ARE WE THERE YET? is funny, heartbreaking. I love Danny and Elijah and I want to strangle them. But what deep, reflective characters they are. Danny and Elijah, the Silver brothers, are 7 years apart and have never really been close. Their mother forces the issue the summer before Elijah's senior year in high school by tricking the boys into taking an Italian vacation together.
