Wow, this was grim. I had to put it down for several months because I knew so many characters were going to die and I didn't want them to. (view spoiler)
I really liked how it started out not advertising itself as science fiction, but when I twigged to what was going on it felt like a prize, not like a lecture. It has a lot to say about colonialism, and racism, and compassion. ...more
