Amazing book, the language Sylvia Plath uses just makes this book so easily readable and enjoyable at the same time, that I was hooked and had to stop myself reading it too quick.
The Bell Jar was so realistic that at times I felt Esther expressed in it my feelings and I could identify with her really easily. The whole book was like an insight into her mind and thoughts (and in a way an insight into Plath's mind too)

2023 reread -

definitely enjoyed it more than my first read, even though the first third of this book feels quite aimless. when the psych content kicks in, then the narrative finds its stride. loved the insight into how mental health used to be treated.
