Finally finished this book after abandoning it midway and resuming it after a long hiatus. It was a good book and very much sums up all I have to say about the book. It speaks of struggles, hardships, poverty, hope and a happy ending (sort of). It is a simple read though there were instances when I found it pretty intense and captivating. Honestly, it did not have the 'lingering effect' I usually sense after completing any book I read but this does not necessarily imply that 'A Tree Grows in Bro ...more
