What Members Thought
I really enjoyed some of Lisa See's other books like Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and was anxious to read this one. It did not disappoint. This one follows orientals Grace, Helen and Ruby, who are from very different backgrounds but become best friends pre WW II in San Francisco. They become performers and have ups and downs personally and professionally, especially after the attack on Pearl Harbor. There are secrets and betrayal that keep the story interesting. Highly recommmend!
