More than 4 stars, less than 4.5 stars.

Yes, the characters are totally screwed up, but at the same time, I felt sympathy for them [for most of them most of the time] instead of getting angry or irritated with them. The author gave enough of a back story that the narcosis makes sense and is consistent with his/her past experiences and personality. Meh. Too many plot holes that I thought about way too much. And every single character was a god awful human being, I couldn't like any of them. Read it because I loved Gone Girl, but I don't think it was nearly as good. ...more
