This is the beginning of a series that I do like a lot. This is the first book in which Mia Thermopolis finds out that she is actually a princess. I liked it because it has the viewpoint that I had when I was an adolescent and I actually grew up when these books came out. It aws alsome. I think that Mia is hilarious.
I listened to the audiobook, which Anne Hathaway narrates, and really enjoyed it. It's a little different than the movie and the book only covers part of the movie's plot. I think it's one of those rare cases where I didn't like the book better than the movie but I also didn't glaring like the movie better. The book was cute but I did get a little annoyed with Mia's teenage complaining. I probably would have loved this book if I had read it when I was 15.
