[close] This was a fun and fast read! Frederick Allan was a monster hunter, but has "retired" to a quiet life of professorship. His two children, however, long to follow in his old footsteps. But that opens up a can of worms and brings back many from Fred's past - his former partner who's now a werewolf and two old enemies, one of which has a robotic face. Adventures ensue!

The artwork is extraordinarily dark and blocky, but it grew on me as the story progressed. And the darkness definitely sets the mood of the piece!

I did feel like it left too many loose ends - the "conclusion" of this volume wasn't much of a conclusion at all! I need to find out about Geoff's haunted friend, and where robot boy came from, and what's going on with Merle, and I definitely want more with Deloris!
