If you are looking for a good quick summer read, this is a good option. I've read both this and Gone Girl and keep hoping to love Gillian Flynn but I just can't connect or feel any kind of compassion for her characters. I like her style and fast paced story development. Ultimately, Dark Places is entertaining but not quite compelling. ...more
