Got a bit cloying in the middle, and when the narrator was trying to act out scenes with annoying people the CD's became almost unbearable to listen to. The book redeemed itself by the end, though. It made me cry. ...more

Nicholls has a great ability to portray everyday life. Everything that happens in the novel is completely realistic, even if it doesn't make the read happy. Such a surprise ending, I definitely did not see it coming. Great read! ...more
