Grabbed it because I needed a new Playaway for the gym.
Given the unoriginal premise, I thought SURELY there's something redeeming or different that he's done to the tired ol' sci-fi notion that machines will one day take over the world and destroy human civilization, right?

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author did a great job of updating an old idea (machines taking over the world.) Really exploited the creepiness some of us feel about the new technologies. I'm personally a little skeeved out by cars that can park themselves!

It took me a while to finish it but it just happened to be that phase I go through on occasion where it takes me a lifetime to get through a book even if I seriously like it. This was one of those books. I loved the format of how it was written along with the letterbox manner of starting the book where we're going to end it later and then filling in all the fun stuff in the middle. It really is a quick read and if I hadn't been having my phase it'd been read in a day or two. But hey, its finally

I enjoyed this book while I was reading it, but didn't spare much time thinking about it when I wasn't. In the end, alas, I found it too episodic to fully engage me.
