My friends told me I had to read this book. That it was one of the best they’d ever read, that I’d fall in love with the characters, that it’d leave me feeling broken and sad, but that I’d love it just the same. And so, I put it off for quite some time because I don’t really enjoy being sad. I also don’t like to physically borrow books from the library because they aren’t mine, and the ebook of this one was just too much money, in my ...more

This is the best thing I've read in a long time. Thank You John Green! You hit it out of the park this time!

This book was amazing. I put off reading it because I knew I'd cry like a baby ... and I did. I mean, Hello! It's a book about kids with The Big C - bring on the tears. But, regardless, this is a book I will pick up and read again, and love just as much the second, third, fourth time around. As I'm sure others have said, it had the best blend of humor and sadness, just enough to be real. Simply, I just loved it.

This is not your typical depressing kids-with-Cancer book.
John Green brings humour to this story of teenagers who befriend each other while attending a Cancer support group. His writing is brilliant, turning this tale into a bonafied work of art. Full of hilarity and heartbreak, this book will definitely bring you to tears.
This young adult novel is being turned into a movie starring Shailene Woodley. The film will be released in June 2014.

Do not listen to this book in the car, because you'll be crying too hard to drive. The narrator is really, really good for this one, in my opinion.

I'm just going to go to bed thankful that I experienced this story, but still achingly sad.
