I'm not giving 5 stars because this is a perfect novel. It's not--there were a few small things that were problematic. Not enough to matter much, though.
Overall, it's a terrific novel. Compulsively readable, shocking. I'm glad I didn't read too many reviews. I mostly wanted to see if all the hype was warranted. Great book. Was never quite sure what was going to happen. Still a bit surprised by the resolution of the court case and the ending, but still liked it enough to recommend.
Good book and well written. I liked how it went back and forth between the deposition and the narrative. I also liked how the author led the reader to one conclusion and as soon as it would become believable, the author would change direction. It kept the reader guessing until the end. Some significant events happen all the way up to the end just when it seems the plot is resolved. Loved the book...right up until the ending!
Good, well-written who dunnit that will keep you going to the very last page.
