Crossed is the second book in the Matched triology by Ally Condie. Crossed was an enjoyable read but I didn't like it as much as Matched. Crossed details Cassia's quest to find Ky in the Outer Provinces. Unlike Matched this installment is told from both Cassia and Ky's point of view. The pacing of Crossed wasn't as brisk as Matched and I found that the book dragged in a few places. I found that I had trouble staying interested in this storyline. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this at ALA. I won't post my "real" review until the book is out, but I will say that it uses many of the typical "middle of a trilogy" devices.

During the first half of this book, I kept thinking, 'Wow! This is way better than the first," but the second half dragged a bit. I did like how half of the chapters were from Ky's POV. That really added to the story. The ending was somewhat disappointing for me as it kind just left off and wasn't exciting. I definitely want to read the conclusion though.
