What Members Thought
I would recommend this book, Shooting the Moon, by Frances O’Roark Dowell. I liked the plot of the story and how the author used the photographs to help tell the story. I found the main character, Jamie Dexter, likable. “I would [enlist] if they let me, sir” (pg. 84) said 12 year old Jamie. I, too, am interested in the military so the subject matter kept me involved in the storyline. It was easy to read and the first-person narrative was a good way to tell the story.
