I knew I would love Walden because I feel like I grew up at Walden Pond and my father is such an admirer of Thoreau that he walks "The Stations of the Pond." We walk a stretch, open the book to a random page as a sort of bibliomancy, and read the section aloud. I know many of the quotes by heart and even have two t-shirts with Walden quotes on them.
