What a fun adventure, with a few bumps along the way. Two years seems to have been the right amount of time before rereading this. I didn't remember many of the details, and I enjoyed the ride all over again.

1. Rachel's very nonchalant attitude towards being marked for death: Her blatant denial in the beginning was very frustrating. It wasn't until about 3/4 of the way that she seemed to realize just how deadly her situation had been for everyone involved.

2. Matters of trust. Although I understand her unease with Ivy, I do not understand her almost instant trust in Nick. Traumatic experiences aside, she still didn't (and in some way doesn't) know him from Adam. What if he really is a rat!?!

3. Tell the man the truth! You didn't send the demon! That should have been the first thing out of her mouth once she realized Trent hadn't sent one either. Again, Rachel's choices can be so frustrating.

I'm wavering between rating it as a 3 or a 4, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, knowing there is much more to come.
