I finished the book, even though I didn't want to. There were times I actually kind of liked the story, but then I'd read a part that would make me laugh out loud - and it wasn't supposed to be funny. It just had this cheesy feel to it. If you're looking for romance and smut where everything just happens to fall into place at the right time, then this is it.

This is my first read of anything by J.R. Ward, and I was not disappointed. I loved the world that is developed and you just know that any subsequent books are going to be of the same caliber. I look forward to working my way through this series.
Only got partway in before I lost interest. Vampires aren't really my thing and there needs to be some other "hook" to the story, which I didn't find here.
