What I said in 2012:

I liked this book for many reasons. Although it was mostly about Butch, we also got an insight into John, V, and even the Rev as well.

I am incredibly happy for Butch!! I really wanted to slap Marissa (more than once). Even her acceptance, in the end, felt weak. I do like what she did as far as Safe Place and Havers; I just think Butch deserved a lot better.

All the characters in the Black Dagger Brotherhood are tortured in some way, but this book didn't focus on just one tortured soul. While this is the story of Butch and Marissa, it is also the story of Butch and Vishous, and Butch and family. It also has a side story that focuses on John.

I liked Butch's story more than I thought I would. I have to say I get a little sick of all the characters doing stupid things because of a misunderstanding. I know it adds to the drama, but in every BDB book it's the same and this one seemed to have more of it. ...more
