There isn't much to say about this book except, just sheer excellence, enjoyment, and one of the best characters there is in Harry Dresden. I was saddened by what happened with Molly, she'd quickly become one of my favorite rooting interests. Odin has become the next character I like as much as I do Harry. As usual, the spin on some of the myths we know today were all well done and much fun.

Harry Dresden wakes up for another roller coaster ride through monster and bad fairyland, determined not to become either. Mab gives him his first assignment, and a lot of fairies give him a bad time while he is simultaneously reconnecting with friends and family and trying to solve the island's most pressing problem, how to keep from exploding and taking the whole midwest with it. He only has a day or two to solve the whole mess. Good thing he's not alone. Go Team Dresden!

Much more exciting than the last book. While I like the smart-aleck remarks, some should probably have been edited out.
In this story, Harry is the Winter Knight in actual practice. So, he's got to follow Mab's orders. Then, he discovers he is the Warden of a supernatural prison. Someone is trying to release all the badguys. An evil that has been going on since the beginning of the series has been revealed. ...more

Wow! Just wow! So much happened and there is so much is left to come. Its going to be a long wait for book #15.
