3.5 I am grateful that I had first read The Charmer without knowing it was a series. I loved it and decided to start with the beginning novel,The Seducer, I found it much slower-it didn't have the same addicting allure. The last 100 or so pages redeemed it for me, the ending was very touching. Madeline Hunter is a great writer (even will it's not at her very best)a and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. ...more
