I'm a huge fan of both Syrie James and Jane Austen but this book was just not quite what I expected. I was in a constant conundrum of whether or not the plot line was actually real even though it was clearly stated at the end that the work is completely fiction. I guess this should be a testament to the creative skill of James, but I have to say it wasn't enjoyable.
