What Members Thought

"Bullet" was all the good things I like to see in an "Anita Blake" book, and some.
1. It was home in St. Louis, because - aside from "Bloody Bones", "Blue Moon", and "Blood Noir" (all "B" names - weird) - all of the out of town books seem to be lacking something.
2. It included the fullest cast list we've seen since (at least) "The Harlequin". And most of those cast members had more than a walk on role.
3. It was heavy on vampire and furry politics, and light on federal marshal duties.

I swore to myself I won't read anymore of the series after I read the 17th book, but then I came across the cover for the 20th and read the synopsis and the wheels in my head went "assassin, Edward and Olaf, good book, the best book since it all went to hell... have to read!" and so, there I am like 2 days later after I read the 18th, which wasn't bad probably cuz Richard and all the annoying people didn't have enough pages to make appearance, but when I moved to the next one it was an ok maybe

I first read this in 2011 and decided it was time to reread this addictive series.
Asher is threatening to take his were hyenas and become master of his own territory. He is pissing everyone off. If all the were-hyenas leave, Jean Claude (Master of St. Louis) will lose 1/3 of his guards and it would be easier for him to lose a challenge to his territory. Richard (leader of the werewolves) hears rumors that Narcissus (leader of the were-hyenas) is bragging that he and Asher will take over St. Loui ...more

OMG...I can't believe how much I missed this series, Anita and her men. And all her men are back...thank god...I've really missed them. Let me tell you it sucked me in and I rode it wave after wave of...Laurell hit the mark, I was so worried that she would be off traveling somewhere and there would be no Jean Claude, Asher, Micah, Nathaniel, Jason, you get my meaning. I plan to re-read it because I usually miss something when I read her books, there's so much going on and I'm so eager to get to
