I’ve reviewed quite a few books over the years, and some are good, some not so good. But every now and then I come across a gem. The Ninth Orphan is one of these. The story revolves around Sebastian, the product of a mysterious genetic experiment right from his birth. It’s a mixture of Bond, Bourne, the Saint etc and flows at a breath taking pace. The book has lots of flashbacks to his childhood, and then back to the present as his creators pursue him. A thriller of the highest order, and I agre ...more
