I really liked it! Even with all of the "big" issues being involved: the violence, homeless teen and the angst that goes along with it, the story had an innocence about it in Ben. He has such a nice, small-town homegrown sense of self that came across really well. It made me put the book on my awww, that's such a sweet read shelf. A very good book for the holidays!

I loved this book, its perfect for not only Christmas, but all year round. The story is simply a small town Sherif picks up a young runaway on Christmas Eve, and instead of arresting him he takes him home to his mum, gives him a home and helps him decide what he wants to do with his life. Love blossoms between them but in such a way that doesn't impact the integrity of the story. It's a heartwarming story and I can't wait to read more by this author
