Best book ever!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened this novel, but I was pleasantly surprised. Meghan reeled me in immediately with her vulnerability and I rooted for her to succeed from the moment the jerky jock kid sent the dirty text in the intro. Ms. Kagawa has done a wonderful job weaving in a commonly known faerie story and twisting it to work with her story.
Now, on to the boys. I'm thinking her BFF likes her, even though he's her sworn protector, but I'm not sure...Guess I'll have to wait and se ...more

This was fantastic! For a debut.. WOW!
The perfect book to pick up after what I had just finished.. Within 4 pages I was laughing and smiling again!
It's great writing, it flows, the story is fast paced all the way through, which is fantastic, no boring bits. Julie Kagawa gets you attached to your characters very quickly. The imagination that has gone into creating the worlds is wonderful. The Worlds blossomed in my mind as I read, that's what I love about Young Adult or Fantasy books, no boundari ...more

This fantasy gets points for action and imagination. It overflows with faeries, gremlins, goblins, trolls, gnomes, naiads, and a host of other creatures, most of which chase and/or attempt to eat Meghan Chase and her protector Puck. True is, all that running and chasing became repetitive and I somewhat lost interest in the middle of the story. However, I held on for the ending, which was entertaining. Fantasy lovers are sure to adore this one.

I loved this book. It's so well written that the characters felt real to me.
