I read Die for Me a while back and am just now getting to write my review.
I absolutely love the concept that Ms. Plum created in this fascinating, intriguing, and highly captivating tale. First let me say, that the cover of this book is soooo gorgeous! I totally fell in love with it when I first saw it...Yes, it was love at first sight!! :D

I want to start with the cover of this book. The kindle Edition I have has the old US cover but now the US cover has changed to match the UK cover. Which I am so glad it has. The cover is simply beautiful. The pattern is so pretty and I love how it intertwines around Kate's arms. And of course the distance image of the Effel Tower wonderful.

What I loved about this book, was the world that Amy Plum has created. I just fell in love with this book. This book was lusciously fantastic. Plus this book takes place in Paris, which is supposed to be one of the most romantic cities in the world. So, that made the book a lot better for me.

Kate, our heroine, I think has a lot to deal with. She has a sister Georgia. They are very different, which I found worked for the book in a lot of ways, because of the different personalities they can give What I loved about this book, was the world that Amy Plum has created. I just fell in love with this book. This book was lusciously fantastic. Plus this book takes place in Paris, which is supposed to be one of the most romantic cities in the world. So, that made the book a lot better for me.

Kate, our heroine, I think has a lot to deal with. She has a sister Georgia. They are very different, which I found worked for the book in a lot of ways, because of the different personalities they can give each other advice. I like how Georgia and Kate's Grandmother encourage her to get on with her life and start living. When a tragedy happens, we sometimes forget that we have to move on, but it doesn't mean we forget those that we love. Kate felt very close to her parents, but she does eventually move on.

The moment that her and Vincent lock eyes, you feel that there is chemistry between them. Kate gets very curious about Vincent and then she has an accident. Vincent and Kate's chemistry was great. When Kate starts to get close to Vincent, she starts to feel something, but can't explain it, neither can Vincent. Yet, both of them start to get close. They start to date, and it is very charming. They are getting along very well.

Vincent and Kate find that they like a lot of the same things and Vincent introduces Kate to his friends, that's when things start to get a little crazy, but this makes the intensity of their relationship a lot better. When Kate almost dies, Vincent saves her, but yet Kate sees Jules died, who is Vincent friend. Kate can't believe it, and when she doesn't hear from Vincent for a while, she wonders why.

When she goes to a museum, she thinks she is seeing things, but it is Jules alive. Jules/Kevin says he doesn't know her and that he has worked there. So Kate gets mad, and starts to pursue it. She then wants to see Vincent and barges into his home quite literally and finds a shocking thing.

She learns that they are revanants, a type of zombie, but they are not your standard zombies. They live for a very long time and stay the age they die. We learn all kinds of things. I was intrigued by this as I don't really read zombie fiction, but I stayed with it and am glad that I did. It works for this story. I love the vividness of the characters and even though they are zombies, they are not the flesh eating kind, but more human like since they eat and have human emotions.

The rest of this book was so good. I like that this book was like a roller-coaster ride. I really loved how Vincent and Kate trust each other. There relationship is based on trust and love. Plus not to mention the writing was very good. Even Kate's sister has her moments. The bad guy was okay ( he could have been a lot more menancing-the only negative about this book). I really loved this book, because the two main characters were great. Even the secondary characters were wonderful. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Get this book. You Will Not Regret This Book

I really wanted to like this book. Funny, I do like some parts of the book. The first half of the book moved a little slow for my liking. I really liked Kate she was funny and witty. And who would not love Vincent. But this book is a twilight clone. Which is not a bad thing. I love twilight and I like stories that have the same themes, but I do not like books that are pretty much the same as twilight.

This is one of the best paranormal books I have EVER read. It's enthralling. It just captured me from the beginning to the end. I was hanging on every sentence. Now this book, I would die for.

I love the setting. Paris isn't a very common setting I've found (well, I haven't read Anna and the French Kiss...yet) and it's just so bright, so classical and so beautiful in the descriptions. Now I REALLY wanna go to Paris...and see all the sparkling lights from the Eiffel Tower and the view from the Pont des Arts. Not to mention, it's an excellent opportunity to show off my amazing French Skills ;) (yet, learning the language for 5 years and still being in the lower class I still don't get).
I really love the fact that there's a different paranormal "creature" in these books, as you can see by the series name, it brings on a new quest for supernatural: Revenants. What is a Revenant?? Well, I looked it up and it said it's a French word for someone who has returned from the dead. I'd only heard of Revenant's once before, and that was from Brandon Mull's series, Fablehaven.

I found each of the character unique and loveable in someway (except for the baddie, of course).
Kate is such an amazing main character. She's a book lover (like moi!) and doesn't really like the party scene like her older sister Georgia. I found Georgia okay. She's a supportive older sister, but she parties like, all the time! Charlotte is an amazing supportive best friend to Kate and Ambrose the joker (Love him!). Gaspard reminds me of a worried middle aged man, while JB makes me think of a ferocious grandpa. Vincent and Jules...
I seriously love both of them!! Obviously Vincent over Jules, but they are both AMAZINGGG!! <3 I could seriously fan-girl about them for pages and pages worth of writing ;)

The plot only kinda picked up with more action around half way through the book. Nothing was wrong with the story. The beginning was more of the emotions of Kate, as she just lost both her parents and her thoughts on Paris etc. I love how it slowly opens up to Vincent and all, it really crescendoes up into a fabulous and action packed story! (with romance of course :D)

This book is so amazing I know I'm going to DIE (pun intended) when the second book, Until I Die releases sometime in 2012. EEKKK! I can't wait that long! Amy Plum writes an amazing debut novel which paranormal readers can devour, with a fabulous new concept of supernatural: Revenants. Move over Fallen Angels, Vamps and Were-things, this book, and it's gorgeously created characters and descriptions, ROCKS. ...more

Really liked this one. :)

Although Vincent and Kate can be disgustingly cute. :P Really liked this fresh take on zombies/ghosts, not the usual book so it was nice to read something different.

Although sometimes I didn't like some parts of the conversations, especially when Kate gets all physco jealous over the jewellery. She needed to chill out she knew Vincent for all of five seconds.
