When I first started LLL I had to put it down because I was still kinda slumping. I wasn't sure it was me or the book. It was me, this book is fantastic. The Locke is such an interesting character, a bloody hilarious great character.

Sooo many good quotes from this book. I have tabbed so much humor and sass. One minute I'm laughing then gasping with my hand covering my mouth because like a switch Scott Lynch can change the mood.

Can not wait to read the next book.

Try again sometime. A lot of my friends have liked it, but neither Marg nor I could seem to get into it. My excuse is that my reading has been a bit scattered. I could only get in a couple of lunch time reads, but I found my eyes glazing over today.

I was genuinely fascinated by this book only by reading a few first pages. Very recommended. I read the last third of the book during the early morning on Sunday, I could not put it down even to have breakfast.

It is a crime story set in a fantasy world, but the protagonists are the thieves. Always love reading about (can we say) successful, smart, witty, charming thieves, with a certain morale standard. Every one member of the Gentleman Bastards (and the con man who invented them) are totally li

This book is tied with Leviathan Wakes for my favorite book this year (so far). The fact that I got pointed to both books from Goodreads speaks well for the community.

This is a gritty heist/con-artist story, set in a fantasy world with magical beasts, lords and ladies, impossible castles, alchemy, etc. Our (semi) hero is Locke Lamora, a street-raised orphan-thief who has the singular super-power of being the world's greatest bullshit artist. His lies first get him stuck in some very difficult co

Приятно четиво, а ла пикареска. Приятни персонажи. Май това е, което - поне аз - мога да кажа по въпроса:).

I started out a little lukewarm on this book; I was interested, but not enough to put down anything else I was reading to devote my attention just to this. The story of how Locke initially came to become a Gentleman Bastard was engaging, but didn't grab my attention the way that later parts of the story did. It was only once Locke was well and truly a Gentleman Bastard that I really was drawn into this.

I adored the relationship between all the Gentleman Bastards. It was what really made the sto
