Good bunch of stories, some 4 star quality, other 3 stars. Some were twists on old fairy tales. One, "Black Dog", was about Shadow from American Gods. Others were unique, some quite short & weird.

I'm only giving this 3 stars over all because I think this would have been better read as text. The narration was good, but some of the stories changed perspectives & I didn't realize that immediately. No clues in audio. What can you say about a collection of stories that includes everything from the disturbingly sublime to a tie-in story featuring the Matt Smith Doctor to poetry?

If it's a collection from Neil Gaiman, you just say thank you and enjoy reading it.

In his introduction Gaiman notes that certain books these days comes with warnings about things that may be disturbing to certain readers. However, he notes that once you get beyond a certain age that good writing shouldn't have to come with these "trigg

Fun collection of Gaiman short stories from a variety of places.... Doctor Who, American Gods, fractured fairy tales, weird little odes to his girlfriend/wife. A few seem a little self-indulgent and less polished, but I suppose that's why they are in a short story collection rather than developed into something more expansive. ...more

Really amazing stuff here... Another Shadow Moon story (thank you!)
Also more Sherlock and even a Doctor Who story so visual you can almost recall it as a program you've seen.

Gaiman is my new go to for a spare moment.
