The Stars Are Legion is an incredibly imaginative adventure with one of the most original settings I have ever read. Although it's classified as sci-fi I would say this is more fantasy. Although there's a very complex world-building with organic planet-ships, none of the science behind it is explained. Are you a fan of Lexx, and all the cannibalism and living spaceships and body horror it involved? Then this book is for you. If, however, the thought of the protagonist diving head first into a warm lake of puss makes you queasy, you should pass. There is nothing groundbreaking or incredibly good in this book that would justify you having to stifle your gag reflex.
