After reading Songs of a distant earth I went through a phase of reading Clarke's work. This was one i wasn't sure i was going to enjoy but was greatly surprised. This is more a story of personal endeavour than of sceince and technology but like, A fall of moon dust and Richter 10 it centres more of people and as such even though deals with huge issues you still keep your focus on the people. ...more
