This book is a trip down memory lane, I realised after a few chapters I had read this book many years before in a much more battered and less loved edition. Now in its full masterworks glory I picked it up again and read it once more. Many of the scenes were so familiar but at the same time there were subtle under currents and descriptions i had over looked or forgotten. Wasn't bad, but wasn't particularly good for me. Women were ridiculously two dimensional. Did not really like the ending. Should have DNF'd, but trying pretty hard not to do that with the Hugo/Nebula award winners. ...more
