What a rich, fascinating feast of ideas. I've always loved KSR's books for their ideas. He does scifi on a scale that makes my brain grow hungry for more. However over the years of reading his books I've always felt like they missed something or that the balance between story and science was always a little off. This book however did it just right. Грандиозна визия за бъдещето. Героите обаче - не зная точно защо - някак ме принудиха да се дистанцирам от тях и дори леко безразличие към техните тежнения се загнезди трайно в нежната ми читателска душица:)
Хм...може би четвъртата звезда е заради подробно разказания процес на тераформиране:)). Всеки читател на НФ знае този термин и има сравнително адекватна представа за резултатите. Робинсън описва и как според него се случва всичко това, което лично на мен ми бе интересно. И леко замайващо...р

I read this as a whispersync book and I must say that I probably would have enjoyed the listening portion of the experience more with a different narrator - the parts I read myself as opposed to listening were much more pleasant. KSR strikes me as a difficult author to read aloud convincingly - massive lists of seemingly random things bound! - but I have heard similar material done much better than this was!
