I have now read this book 5 times and I still love it and recommend it to anyone who likes a good historical/time-travel/love story/big old chunkster! Seriously, this is the fastest 850 pages I've ever read. I never get tired of this series.
Jamie and Claire are still hot. I still love Gabaldon's writing style.

Eileen's sister, Tracy, actually recommended this book to me waaaay back in the day. When she found out I enjoyed reading romance novels, she gave me a list of recommendations that included this and some Jude Deveraux. Well, I finally got around to reading Outlander, and I wish I hadn't waited so long.

Jan 24, 2018: Still 4 stars. I enjoyed the book like before but unlike the last time I am more interested in seeing what happens next.
I enjoyed the story but I found it to be a tad too long. I would have been perfectly happy to see the story end a little sooner then it did. Will I read the others? Not really sure, as I'm happy to see it as a stand alone, (view spoiler) ...more

Fun Filled Adventure in 17th Century Scotland
